Dear friends
For the past four months I watched this congressional debacle unveiled itself and in reality people who are supposed to serve we the people don't give a damn except line their own pockets at our expense. There are many examples of both Congress men and women and Senators who've amassed large fortunes in their careers in Congress. No wonder they don't want to shut down the Bush tax cuts because it would come out of their pockets and their grease monkeys and their crony’s pockets also.
During the Civil War we enacted laws to prevent profiteering and in reality we are at war right now. So I would like to see how many of these clowns could be brought before a military court to defend their profiteering and defend what they have done to this country.
We need jobs that enable us to have a good living for a good days work no more no less and if these clowns don't get together and do the people’s business in the next year we need toss them all out and onto the congressional junk heap where they deserve to be in first place.
So this poem inspires me when I feel that I have lost my way

Invictus
Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.
Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll.
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.
Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll.
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.
Thank you I am sharing with my 16 year old.
